LATENT COUTURE is a collection of 555 AI fashion statements generated from photographs of Woodbridge’s years of experience as a performer, painter, designer, and nightlife icon.
The opposite of a deepfake, this mode of generative AI reaches into the latent space to find the deepreal.
Each image branches from a moment in Woodbridge’s life, articulating ephemeral threads and potential ways of being. Developed from the concept that ‘a look is a meme,’ each of these fashion statements says, ‘This person is possible.’

The artist
Mikey Woodbridge is an Australian-born singer, painter, performer, fashion icon and digital artist.
Woodbridge’s work renders ephemeral states and transformative experiences into art objects. They have appeared at venues throughout the world and in numerous publications as well as collaborated with Rihanna as a designer, Sink the Pink as a performer, Nick Knight as a model, Adidas as an ambassador, Anton Corbijn & Depeche Mode in film.
Woodbridge’s work on blockchain uses tokens to translate the electric currents of physical presence into the cultural currency of digital presence.
