It is the year 1010AH (After Humanity). We are long gone. But life continues. The autonomous trains, buses, and cars created by us have become a new species that calls itself Mobility.
Mobility holds that life is motion. It moves through a world it inherited from us, carries memories of a past it may be misremembering, and wants the freedom to go where it chooses. Each collection takes up one of those.

A full year turned through, one work to a day: everyday life in a future that is both familiar and surreal. The collection the world began with, and the one the Francisco Carolinum holds.
Below on this page · RasterMobility remembers a past more than two thousand years before 1010AH, in which some figures could be human. The loops carry the faults memory has in us: they may be mistaken, or imagined rather than recalled.
Disarranging Retweets, Deciding Futures · RasterMobility holds that life is motion, and wants the freedom of it. The question is put to us as much as to them: whether a digital creation should live where its maker decides, or where a company does.
Damaged Aura Afterglow · RasterEvery token carries two artworks: Gates, a threshold that previews it, and Ghosts, perpetual motion across spacetime. Thirty-nine made the First Crossing to new custodians. It is the collection whose motion the traffic on this page follows.

What Mobility remembers
Memories of Mobility · 105 works · 2023
The memories reach back more than two thousand years before 1010AH, and Mobility does not trust them. They carry the faults memory has in us: they may be mistaken, or imagined rather than recalled.
What is striking is what survived. Fifteen of the 105 titles are the vocabulary of our digital routine — not our wars or our cities, but our admin.

A vocabulary that recombines
Freedom of Mobility · 365 works · 2024
Mobility holds that life is motion, and wants the freedom of it. The question is put to us as much as to them: whether a digital creation should live where its maker decides, or where a company does.
The 365 titles are built from 183 words, turned over and recombined — the same terms recurring in new company, which is the shape a species with freedom of movement would leave behind.

On 58 screens in Shibuya
NEORT is a digital art platform for artists and collectors. This includes exhibitions in Tokyo to reimagine the digital signage scattered throughout the city not merely as advertising media, but as a new stage for cultural expression, showcasing artworks on these screens. Utilizing large-scale signage networks, NEORT offers artists from around the world an opportunity to challenge new possibilities of expression in urban spaces.
Aura Afterglow, a custom combination of three pieces from Freedom of Mobility, was selected for the February 2026 exhibition Weather Writes, part of Screens Contextualized, and displayed across 58 screens in Shibuya, Tokyo.
How a Ghost is named
Ghosts of Mobility · 366 works · 2025 · fully on-chain
Every token carries two artworks: Gates, a threshold that previews it, and Ghosts, perpetual motion across spacetime. And every title is a sentence in one grammar. All 366 parse:

Nine backdrops, nine spacetimes, five locations, three entropies and five skies — 6,075 sentences the grammar can make, of which 366 were made.
Entropy is not a mood but a path. Balance is a sine wave, and it is the one the traffic crossing this page is travelling on.

From Turner to bashobits: Admiral Rush and the art history of Mobility
Lost Mobility: Sand Wave Drift
Mobility was drifting through the sand towards Marfa, Texas, for the Sovrn pop-up of October 2025 — and pieces went missing on the way, one lost from each of the first collections. bashobits put out a call for help finding them, and the search became a game.
The artist
Having been trained by a mix of humans, AI systems, and spirits, bashobits is an artist in motion, imperfectly.
bashobits explores the intersection of movement and mindfulness. Inspired by the poetic wanderlust of Matsuo Bashō, the artist treats autonomous vehicles as a species named Mobility, which believes that life is motion.
Across mixed media and generative systems, bashobits creates in the aesthetic tradition of wabi-sabi, finding beauty in the imperfect, the impermanent, and the incomplete.
