Sovrn Art is an independent, artist-first studio and curatorial platform for digital and blockchain-based art.
Run by Pindar Van Arman and Ezra Shibboleth, Sovrn works directly with artists to develop, present, and contextualize projects that engage with emerging technologies, software, networks, and digital culture.
Our work takes different forms depending on the project: curatorial development, exhibitions, digital and physical releases, editions, publishing, collector resources, and long-term stewardship of artists’ work. Rather than operating as a high-volume marketplace, Sovrn is built around individual artists and projects, with an emphasis on artistic independence, strong ideas, and sustained context.
Sovrn has worked with and presented projects by artists including Pindar Van Arman, Rutherford Chang, Anne Spalter, Bård Ionson, and others. The site also serves as an archive for past projects and as a resource for collectors interested in the histories, systems, and technologies surrounding the work.
Digital art and blockchain
Some Sovrn projects use blockchains as artistic, publishing, or distribution infrastructure. Accordingly, parts of this site discuss NFTs, Bitcoin Ordinals, Ethereum, digital wallets, and related technologies.
Sovrn will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, account password, or wallet credentials. Sovrn does not provide wallet software, custody cryptocurrency on behalf of users, or operate as a cryptocurrency exchange or financial service. Where a project involves a third-party marketplace, wallet, blockchain explorer, or other external service, that service is independent of Sovrn.
Historical project pages may document earlier releases, exhibitions, sales, or blockchain activity. Information on archived pages should not be interpreted as a current offer or request to transfer funds.
